​About Pavan Reddy, MD, FACC

 

Dr. Pavan Reddy is an Interventional Cardiologist at the Sherev Heart and Vascular Clinic (SHVC). A New York native, he first discovered Southern California when he met his wife during medical school. After completing his Interventional and Structural Heart Fellowship at Georgetown University/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., Dr. Reddy relocated to San Diego with his wife and young son to be closer to family. He joined SHVC because their commitment to patient-centered, high-quality, and up-to-date care aligned perfectly with his own values.

 

Dr. Reddy believes in the importance of thoroughly explaining medical conditions and treatments to empower patients to be well-informed and actively involved in their care. He recognizes that each patient brings unique experiences and beliefs and is dedicated to working together at whatever pace is necessary to achieve the common goal of feeling better, for longer.

 

In addition to his general and preventative cardiology expertise, Dr. Reddy performs minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, including coronary artery stenting, transcatheter valve replacement/repair, left atrial appendage closure, septal defect closure, and endovascular (peripheral) interventions.

 

Dr. Reddy has an extensive research background, with over 50 published manuscripts and abstracts. His primary research passion is addressing questions related to structural heart disease. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing basketball and soccer, and practicing the ukulele.
